Jason Bornhorst
I'm an entrepreneur based in Austin. I've spent my career building software in regulated markets—travel, healthcare, and fintech.
I led product at Mobiata (acquired by Expedia, 2010). I co-founded Patient IO (acquired by athenahealth, 2016) and First Dollar (acquired by Inspira Financial, 2025).
I studied computer science and entrepreneurship at Michigan, where I founded Michigan's student startup incubator, TechArb, and co-founded DoGood (acquired by Tonic, 2010). I spend a lot of time with Michigan students, and received the University's ZEAL award recognizing a lifetime of entrepreneurial service.
These days I'm interested in coaching CEOs through the startup journey (email me), helping founders navigate startup M&A at Exitwise, and tinkering on side projects.
